The Old Town Hall building boasts its town hall tower. As part of the ascent to the town hall tower, visitors can see a permanent exhibition of chests and admire the watercolors of the painter Jan Pinkava, which capture old views of the town of Hranice, just from the town hall tower. Visitors can compare the changes the city has undergone over the years.

The museum offers a number of short-term exhibitions, the permanent exhibit Nature and History of Northwest Moravia, and the Little Museum, a facility dedicated exclusively to exhibitions and programmes for children, with facilities for mothers with babies. In the summer, activities accompanying the exhibits move outdoors into the museum courtyard.

The first mention of the Poštovní štola mine dates to 1513. The greatest boom in mining activity occurred in the second half of the 17^th century, when nickel-bearing copper ore was extracted here. The hand-cut corridors and chimneys are well-preserved in the mine. We recommend booking a tour in advance! Tour length 1.5 hours.

The Brewery Museum in Hanušovice maps the local history of brewing from 1874 up to the present day. Here you will find cooper's tools, barrels, labels, glasses, bottles, beer crates, but you will also visit a historic inn with a landlord. A brewery restaurant is located on the ground floor of the building.

A pre-war Czechoslovak fort in a late stage of remodelling. The exhibitions show the original arms (including the fortifi cation cannon type 36), the technical equipment of the facility, and the period gear and uniforms of the soldiers of the fi rst Czechoslovak Republic.

The memorial with its historical exhibit is a dignified reminder of the Third Resistance and the internment of the monks who were forcibly deported by the Communist regime to the Monastery on the Mountain of the Mother of God in Králíky – Dolní Hedeč in 1950–1961 as part of ACTION “K”.

An exhibition dedicated to the founder of hydrotherapy, Vincenz Priessnitz, established in 1999 on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of his birth. The exhibition is installed on the site of Priessnitz‘ s family home, which he had built for medical purposes in 1822, thus creating the world‘s first hydrotherapy institute.

The exhibition on the settlement of the Vidnava region is located in the oldest preserved burgher house and was opened in 2002. It’s divided into several parts covering history, geomorphology and fauna and flora; there is also an example of an open-fire kitchen and a presentation of important people of the Vidnava region. The most valuable exhibit is a granary that is 1600 years old.

The dominant feature of the town and its surroundings is the castle’s 85-metre Graceful Tower. Its top off ers a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. It is possible to see part of the castle’s interior, for example the staircase designed in the style of the Vienna Opera or the castle chapel with early Baroque stucco. Free entry applies to the chateau admission and to the observation tower.

The late Art Nouveau building of the Museum of Modern Art in the historic city centre was adapted for museum purposes in the early 1990s. The Kroměříž District Museum is located in the very heart of Kroměříž, in a historic house on Velké náměstí. You can go through the entire building, literally from basement to attic. There are thematically varied permanent and short-term exhibitions.

The oldest museum in the world focused on the life and work of J. A. Comenius is situated in a Renaissance château in the historical centre of Přerov. You can visit the permanent exhibit dedicated to J. A. Comenius, the history of education, mineralogy, entomology, archaeology and ethnography, bells and short-term exhibitions. The château tower is also accessible.

The museum dedicated to Johann Schroth, the founder of the spa in Dolní Lipová, is located in newly reconstructed House No. 476 in the town of Lipoválázně, directly below the Lipová-lázně train station. Museum exhibits present the history of the spa in the town and pre-war and post-war development.

The pillbox is an important part of the fortification line in the Králíky region. It is also a commemorative site of the tragic death of Sergeant A. Hrad. Inside is an exhibit of the construction of the Czechoslovak fortifications, the history of the Czechoslovak Legions, the history of the financial guard, war medicine and rooms with period furniture and furnishings.

A guided tour of the Ceremonial Hall of the Comenium School, decorated in the style of neo-Renaissance decorativism with elements of Baroque illusionism. The scope and quality of the art is unique and has no comparison anywhere else in the country. Reservations can be made in the Olomouc Information Centre, where the tour starts.

The monumental building was built in 1680–1688 by Jan Adam of Lichtenstein. Three distinct tours are off ered to the public on all fl oors of the chateau, including two cellar levels and the attic. The third tour is unique in that it takes visitors to the unfi nished part of the chateau. Since 2023 the castle has been a national cultural monument.

Drama, ballet, opera and operetta - the only theater with three artistic ensembles and a symphony orchestra in the Olomouc Region. Free admission can only be used for tickets from productions of the Moravian Theater and the Moravian Philharmonic (except for premieres). The water fortress in Jeseník, the oldest surviving historical monument in the town, is home to the Museum of the History of the Jeseníky Region. In its current form, the History and Archeology of Jesenice represents the oldest permanent exhibition in the Water Fortress in Jeseník. A total of three rooms await visitors. The first of them presents the results of research and archaeological research from prehistory to the 19th century. The second room introduces visitors to the fact that the Jesenice region did not only go through periods of prosperity and an undisturbed cycle of life, but numerous wars and disasters are also connected with its history. The third and last room shows the famous musical and spa past of the region, associated with the names of the composer Karel Ditters of Dittersdorf or the founders of hydrotherapy Vincenz Priessnitz and Johann Schroth.

The Early Baroque chateau is the dominant feature of the town. The Earth’s Spiral of Time permanent multimedia exhibit presents the geomorphological development of the Jeseník region in the context of the planet’s evolution. Visitors can enjoy many accompanying films and interactive elements – a touchscreen, models of a trilobite, a volcano, and more. The highlight of the exhibit is a video mapping projection showing how a glacier affects the landscape.

The water fortress in Jeseník, the oldest surviving historical monument in the town, is home to the Museum of the History of the Jeseníky Region. There are exhibitions on the 17th-century witch trials in the region, The history and archaeology of Jeseník, the Spiral of the Time of Earth geologica exhibition and the interactive short-term exhibitions.

A unique permanent exhibit tells the story of the witch trials that took place in the Jeseníky region in the 17th century. The exhibit features a FogScreen (special equipment that projects into fog). On display are 17th-century documents from the Wrocław archives that have never been displayed before.

For organised groups, the town of Šumperk offers a guided walking tour. The tour must be ordered 14 days in advance at the Šumperk Information Centre. In July and August, guided tours are available on specific dates listed on the website of the information centre. A reservation is required.

A German-style windmill has an all-wood rotating structure, which became a national cultural monument in 2014 for its authenticity.

Established in the early 17th century, the Uničov manor jail off ers a tour of the preserved town jail, which has remained in operation until 1945. You can learn more about the evolution of law in Uničov and see the torture instruments and the preserved paintings and inscriptions in the cells, through which former prisoners communicate across the abyss of the bygone ages.

The Šach Synagogue in Holešov is one of the most important monuments not only in Holešov and its surrounding area but also in the Czech Republic. The synagogue is unique in the world for being the only Polish-type synagogue preserved in its original form.

The oldest continuously working factory for handmade paper in the Czech Republic (since 1596). Guided tours of the Paper Museum and production facilities. The Šumperk town hall tower offers wonderful views of the city and the Hrubý Jeseník Mountains. A telescope is available on the tower gallery. You can visit the tower with a guide, present in the basement of the town hall from 1 June to 30 September 2024 (entrance from the plague column). Outside the specified dates only after prior reservation at the Šumperk IC.

Originally, the town hall was but a market house for unloading foreign goods. In the north-east corner there is a tower rising up to 45 metres. In the 17th century, the town hall was extended by a chapel and in the 19th century it was remodelled in the Neo-Renaissance style. Today the building houses the municipal authorities. The two-storey town hall, with an asymmetrically placed tower, was built between 1911 and 1914. The tower’s interior viewing platform is located at a height of 46 m. In addition, the tower features an exhibition on the Town Hall‘s past and present and a clockwork. Viewing telescopes are also available. Or can be booked.

Together with your guide, you will discover the attractions of the city's historic preservation, you will also visit monuments that are not normally accessible, such as the bell tower and the former synagogue. The tour includes a visit to the unique roof garden and the old Jewish cemetery.

The new exhibition Birds of the Czech Republic presents visitors with 365 bird species that occur in the Czech Republic as they can be observed in nature - if individuals of one species are differently colored during the year, or there are differences in size and coloration between sexes and juvenile birds, we try to exhibit all these variants.  A total of 593 exhibits can be seen here, And the eggs of 248 species are also shown.

The national nature preserve Rejvíz is situated in the north-east part of the Jeseníky Mountains, between the towns of Jeseník and Zlaté Hory. This part of the territory is totally different from the surrounding landscape thanks to its specific flora and fauna. The most attractive places are open to the public when following the educational trail to the large moss lake.

The Hranice Abyss Information Centre offers visitors information on the unique Hranice Abyss, the deepest flooded pit cave in the world, with a depth of 450 metres. The bobsleigh track is located at the foot of Štvanice Hill in the Stříbrnice Valley. There are two 360° turns and an original tunnel under the cable car at the end. This turns the ride into a fun adventure for young and old alike. The track is fully visible, which means that parents can keep an eye on their children throughout the ride from the refreshment area with facilities.

The only track bobsled run in Moravia. With a total length of 1,536 metres, it is also the longest bobsled run in Moravia. You do not just go on an easy ride, you actually steer the bobsled. There is no other such place in Moravia any more. The length of the downhill run itself is 1,030 metres. The track includes a bridge, a tunnel, and more.

Architect Leopold Bauer built the Priessnitz Sanatorium more than a hundred years ago. This monumental building was topped with a “magic tower” with a gallery, and so the Spa Lookout was created on the most famous building in Jeseník. Replicas of medieval mining mills. The crushing of gold ore is demonstrated in two mills. Both of these wooden machines made according to contemporary drawings are driven by water wheels that draw their energy from the original canal. The tour includes panning for gold.

The museum houses an armoury with a collection of historical weapons, a schoolroom from the mid-20th century, a replica of a farmhouse living space, the original local pharmacy with period equipment, an exhibition of embroidered chasubles and the local history of the use of coal gas. The existence of the court is recalled by the exhibition of a gendarmerie station and detention cells.

Visit exhibitions in Hranice. Attractive exhibitions for children and adults can be seen at the Old Town Hall, which also features the Gothic Hall. The Museum in the château offers an exhibit featuring a model of the historical town centre and an exhibit of historical weapons.

A museum of the history of stonemasonry in the Žulová region where you can see tools and equipment such as a model saw for cutting quarried stone and products made from local rocks (granite and marble) – troughs, crosses and tombstones. In the mineralogical section, you will find minerals classified according to the Strunz system, from elements to silicates, and unique mineralogical specimens from all over the world.

The Prostějov Observatory, the only public observatory in the Olomouc Region, is located in the middle of the Kolář Park in the western part of the city. It offers daytime and nighttime observations with telescopes, regular lectures, educational programmes for schools, and more.

The castle was founded at the beginning of the 14th century. Its extensive grounds are situated on a rocky hill above the town of Lipník nad Bečvou. Exhibitions and displays feature artistic metalwork at the forge. The discount is not applicable to the following events.

The cellars of the Geschader House hold the Witch Trials exhibit equipped with a modern audio guide. The exhibition describes the infamous witch trials from the second half of the 17th century. During the off-season, we only accept reservations for larger groups, which must be made at least 14 days in advance.

This exhibition of musical instruments from around the world, unique in the Czech Republic, currently contains more than 700 exhibits. The exhibition includes commonly used musical instruments, violins, violas, Chinese two-stringed violins, Indian instruments, and diff erent types of zither and African drums; you can also admire unique instruments such as the historical Dan Bau instrument from Vietnam, the Tibetan Rkan Dung trumpet, and the African Kora harp.

The Exhibition of Time in Šternberk is a modern museum with 250 items from around the world. It presents the theme of "time" in terms of the universe, technology, art and society. On display here are 3D planet models, rare clocks, globes and much more. (“Man has no nobler or more valuable possession than time.” Beethoven.)

The ground floor of the château features an exhibit of customs and crafts from the Konice Micro-Region. Here you will learn about milling, scales, blacksmithing, brewing, tailoring and more. We have the largest collection of axes in the Czech Republic (listed in the Guinness Book of Records). In front of the château you will see the largest carpenter's axe in the Czech Republic. The ORC card can only be used for route B.

The exhibition on the poet Petr Bezruč introduces the life and work of this artist through ten text panels and his personal items. It is located in two ground fl oor rooms of the Red House in Kostelec na Hané, where Bezruč lived and worked for years. Come and visit the last refuge of the “old lizard”.

The official residence of the Archbishops of Olomouc has been serving its purpose for five centuries. The palace hosted Maria Theresa or John Paul II in the past and witnessed the ascent of Franz Joseph I to the throne in 1848. The sole castle space in Olomouc offers, in addition to touring representative halls, an extraordinary experience of a living monument, whose history is still being written.

The old manor forge at Holajka stood next to the chateau as early as the 16th century. It is named after the Zeman family, who owned the forge for decades. Although the building serves as a museum today, the original equipment is still functional.

The first archdiocesan museum in the Czech Republic displays a selection of artistic and spiritual wealth created in Moravia during the past millennium. With a height of 84 metres high (206 steps), the dominant feature of the château offers views of the whole Kroměříž and the surrounding area. The tower is accessible as a self-guided tour in all weather conditions. You can now see a presentation of collection artefacts in the Treasury.

Fort Radíkov, No. 2 is a part of the royal Olomouc fortress, built in 1872–76. It is architect and historic unique compound. Na Špičáku Cave – one of the oldest documented caves in Central Europe (half of the 15th century). Visitors will be surprised by the unique heart-shaped profile of the corridors and the number of historical inscriptions from the 16th-19th centuries. or the Renaissance painting Adoration of the Cross. An important archaeological and paleontological site. The cave creates a labyrinth of corridors and domes with stalactite decoration. Bones of extinct vertebrates and many skeletons of people from the Stone Age were found here.

The Na Pomezí Caves are among the most visited places in Jesenice and are the largest cave system in the Czech Republic created in crystalline limestones - marbles. The extensive cave complex consists of fissure corridors and high domes. They are characterized by rich and interesting stalactite decoration and sinter lakes with cave pearls.

On a European scale, a unique cave with "lakes" of carbon dioxide gas. Among other things, deep thermal waters contributed to their creation, the unique decoration consists of the mineral aragonite, raft stalagmites and spherical wall coverings called doughnuts.
